Find the Breathedge 2 Signal Jammer by scanning three devices around the yellow tunnel beyond the 10G antenna, then entering the clock-fronted Central Station. Restore its power, complete the interior objectives, and repair the shuttle. For refueling, extract Alkaline Solution from mole burrows with the Spraytron and pump it into the open tank. The final jammer interaction uses Scrap/Crowbar when its circular indicator turns green.

Start the jammer route at the right story gate

The jammer search begins after the DEPOT heating chain, not when you first see a distant antenna or an optional structure. Finish the active Service Warmers objective until the journal confirms the required Ambient Temperature, then follow the later antenna objective out of the heated route. Optional DEPOT research and collectibles can wait; they do not replace the main-story handoff.

If your journal still says New Coordinates, Raise Cold Protection, or Raise Ambient Temperature, return to the matching stage in the main quest walkthrough. The signal search will not start simply because you fly into the colder structures early. Treat the exact wording in the journal as the gate, rather than trying to reproduce another player’s route from a landmark.

Bring Scrap/Crowbar, Cutter, and Twister for the entry sequence. The later fuel step needs Spraytron, called Sprayron in some older guide text. Keep oxygen for the return and inventory room for repairs and objective items.

Take all three strong jamming readings

Combine the scanner with these landmarks. Each device must register before you move on.

ReadingWhere to lookAction and completion check
FirstSmall platform beside the heat-pipe route beyond 10GInteract with the speaker-like device; wait for Sui's response
SecondUnder the yellow tunnel near the first deviceScan again and interact with the next blue-lit device
ThirdRim of a broken yellow tunnel ring, across from the secondFollow the scanner to the mounted device; finish the scan before heading to Central Station

The default keyboard walkthrough uses E for scanning and interaction. Follow your on-screen binding if controls differ. If the next direction has not appeared, finish the previous device's scan before searching farther away.

Restore access at the jammer facility

After the third reading, find Central Station, the large building with a clock above its entrance. The exterior power mechanism is beside the frozen doorway.

  1. Break the door ice with Scrap and inspect the power assembly to the right.
  2. Cut away the blue growth with Cutter.
  3. Open the jammed assembly's access panel with Twister and remove the obstructing worm.
  4. Push the two power cylinders together, then return to the entrance.
  5. Cut the corridor membrane. Strike the inner door to make the camera robot look out, then strike the robot to gain entry.

Inside, complete power, inspection, Station Chief identity, and shuttle objectives in order. The head belongs to the identity sequence. Hotfix 0.8.9 fixes its missing marker after the chief's body explodes; check your version if that specific handoff fails.

The cooling-system step can make the airlock appear to be a new blocker. Starting the pump-out sequence locks the airlock as part of the route, then the journal adds a manual reactivation step. Finish that new step before assuming the sealed door needs another tool, material, or hidden switch.

Why the shuttle will not accept alkaline solution

Complete the shuttle repairs and initial flight before its cleaning/refueling objective. Search hollow asteroids containing mole burrows, clear the mole at the deposit, and use Spraytron to extract the liquid. Carrying an ordinary material stack is different from loading the tool for pumping.

Clean the shuttle growth with the loaded Spraytron when requested. Open the fuel cap on the front, aim at the filling point, and pump the solution; default mouse controls use M1. If the tool empties before the tank fills, extract more liquid. Close the cap after refueling and use the shuttle's interior control panel to continue.

Start the shuttle sequence with sufficient health and oxygen. Hotfix 0.8.7 changed a shuttle-flight save condition; allow the scene to finish before relying on a fresh save.

Retrieve and activate the jammer

Back at Central Station, the main-console sequence leads to the parasite encounter. Clear the exposed larvae and finish Babe's requested cleaning interaction. Keep Spraytron available for the liquid step and Scrap for physical interactions, switching according to the target.

When the jammer's timing interaction becomes available, strike with Scrap/Crowbar during the green window on its circular readout. Wait for each valid opening instead of swinging continuously. Afterward, answer the phone near the hamster cage and let the transmission finish to reach the current Chapter 1 cutoff.

You can return to optional tasks after that point on the same save, but do not confuse a side marker with the next story chapter. The achievements guide and map guide are better places to plan cleanup. This page stays focused on the path that resolves the jammer search itself.

Fix a stalled Signal Jammer objective

Patch 0.8.11 fixes death during an active dialogue interrupting it and blocking progression. It separately fixes death during the jammer's dialogue causing later playback to retain a processing effect. If you died during the conversation, update first and identify whether the remaining symptom is a stalled journal or altered audio.

For a stalled task, resume the last confirmed objective and inspect the next required interaction. For altered playback, check the dialogue and quest state before repeating unrelated repairs. The 0.8.11 symptom checklist keeps the general progression fix separate from the Jammer-specific sound correction.

Hotfix 0.8.8 specifically fixes a case where jumping as the WTF ejected the player from the jammer could leave the character stuck. If that happened on an older version, update first, load a safe save, and repeat the relevant interaction without jumping during the ejection. The official note names that condition; it does not prove that every failure in the facility has the same cause.

For a missing head, a missing marker, an inactive airlock, or an unchanged objective, identify what is actually absent before searching for a workaround. The Hotfix 0.8.8 guide covers the named save and progression fixes, while 0.8.9 covers the later station-chief marker correction. Keep the objective text, build number, and a preserved save if the live game still differs.

Source and verification note

Sources cross-checked October 19, 2026: Neoseeker's final Chapter 1 section and VGTimes' illustrated walkthrough. Their overlapping evidence supports the tunnel landmarks, exterior power steps, liquid handling, and final timing. The reading table organizes those facts for navigation; repair quantities stay on live panels because the sources disagree on some names and totals.

The earlier recorded route baseline remains 0.8.9. This update cross-checks published sources; it does not claim a fresh replay. Patch impact was rechecked through 0.8.11 against the official announcement, keeping developer-confirmed dialogue fixes separate from route reporting.
