Breathedge 2 PC System Requirements
Check official Breathedge 2 system requirements for Windows, CPU, GPU, RAM, DirectX, and storage, with minimum and recommended PC specs explained.
On this page+
Breathedge 2 requires at minimum Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, 12 GB RAM, a GTX 1660 6 GB or RX 5500 XT 6 GB, DirectX 11, and 15 GB storage. The recommended target lists Windows 11, an i7-13700 or Ryzen 7 7700X, 16 GB RAM, and an RTX 3070 8 GB or RX 6700 XT 8 GB. These are official Steam specifications checked September 1, 2026.
Minimum PC requirements
| Component | Minimum specification |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 |
| Memory | 12 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GTX 1660 6 GB or AMD RX 5500 XT 6 GB |
| DirectX | Version 11 |
| Storage | 15 GB available space |
Minimum specifications indicate the lowest officially supported class, not a promise of high settings or a fixed frame rate in every Early Access area. Background applications, cooling, drivers, storage speed, and resolution can materially affect the result. Players close to minimum should begin with conservative settings.
Recommended PC requirements
| Component | Recommended specification |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11, 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-13700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA RTX 3070 8 GB or AMD RX 6700 XT 8 GB |
| DirectX | Version 11 |
| Storage | 15 GB available space |
The jump from the minimum processors to the recommended CPUs is substantial. Treat the recommended list as a target class rather than proof that every matching system will use ultra settings. The store does not attach an exact resolution, preset, or frame-rate target to the table.
What the CPU requirement means
Open-space simulation, physics, NPCs, combat, and station activity can place work on the processor. The minimum i5-8400 and Ryzen 5 2600 are older six-core-class parts, while the recommended i7-13700 and Ryzen 7 7700X are much stronger. A CPU between those classes may work well, but no precise performance promise follows from the name alone.
Compare actual model generation, core performance, cooling, and power limits instead of only the i5, i7, Ryzen 5, or Ryzen 7 label. Laptop processors with similar branding can perform differently from desktops. Early Access optimization may also change CPU demand between patches.
What the GPU requirement means
The official minimum names a GTX 1660 with 6 GB or RX 5500 XT with 6 GB. Recommended graphics are an RTX 3070 with 8 GB or RX 6700 XT with 8 GB. Resolution, effects, texture quality, and frame-rate targets are not stated in the official table.
Start by reducing shadows, effects, and resolution scaling if performance is inconsistent. Preserve readable textures and interface elements where possible because small resource and quest objects must be identified visually. Update drivers, then change one setting at a time so improvements can be measured.
Memory and storage planning
The minimum memory requirement is 12 GB RAM, while 16 GB is recommended. Close browsers, launchers, recording tools, and heavy background applications on a 12 GB system. Memory pressure can cause stutter even when average frame rate appears acceptable.
The listed installation space is 15 GB, but keep additional free capacity for downloads, unpacking, shader caches, and save backups. An SSD is sensible for general responsiveness even though the official table shown here does not add a specific drive requirement. Never fill the system drive to the listed installation size exactly.
Windows, DirectX, and Linux
The official requirements specify 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and DirectX 11. Native Linux and macOS requirements are not listed in the checked Steam information. Compatibility layers are not equivalent to official platform support.
Steam Deck uses its own compatibility and Proton evaluation rather than this Windows table alone. Read the Steam Deck guide and current Valve badge before buying for handheld use. A Deck result does not automatically establish support for every Linux desktop configuration.
Check your PC before buying
Open your operating-system hardware information and record CPU, GPU, RAM, Windows version, and available storage. Compare exact model numbers with both official tiers, then search for performance reports from the same build and similar hardware. Stay within Steam's current refund policy while testing the areas and settings that matter to you.
Do not rely on an automated “can I run it” score without checking the underlying components. Integrated graphics, shared memory, thermal throttling, and laptop power limits can make two similarly named systems behave differently. The official minimum remains the safest support boundary.
Early Access performance note
Performance can improve or regress as areas, systems, and optimization change. A launch-day benchmark may not represent a later build, and a quiet starting scene may not represent combat or dense wreckage. Record the patch version when comparing reports.
Specifications were verified on September 1, 2026 from the official Steam listing. Recheck that page before purchase because requirements may be revised. This site does not replace the store's current support information.
Diagnose performance in a useful order
First close heavy background tasks, update the graphics driver, and verify that the game uses the intended dedicated GPU. Next, select a conservative preset and test the same station-to-wreck route for several minutes. Change one option at a time so the result can be attributed to a real setting.
Watch frame pacing, memory use, temperature, and clock behavior instead of average frame rate alone. Sudden stutter can come from memory pressure or storage activity even when the GPU is not fully occupied. If minimum-class hardware remains unstable at low settings, document the build and contact official support rather than assuming one unofficial tweak is universal.
