Breathedge 2 Now That's a Snowman Guide
Unlock the Breathedge 2 Now That’s a Snowman achievement by restoring warmth, following the yellow pipes, repairing the gas lamp, and assembling the parts.

To unlock Now That's a Snowman! in Breathedge 2, restore the area's ambient temperature, follow the yellow pipes below the station, repair the gas lamp, let the ice melt, and assemble the nearby snowman parts. The pieces remain unavailable while the area is frozen, so warmth and the lamp are prerequisites rather than optional context. Search tightly around the melted site instead of expanding into distant wreckage.
Restore the area's warmth first
Continue the station and regional objectives until the ambient temperature system has been restored or raised for this area. The exact tracker wording can vary with the stage, but the frozen lamp site must become workable. If the ice does not react, return to progression rather than searching for loose snowman pieces.
This requirement prevents the achievement from being completed immediately on first sight. Treat the frozen setup as a landmark to revisit after the relevant repair. The main quest walkthrough covers the opening power and repair order without exposing later outcomes in its introduction.
Follow the yellow pipes
From the station area, identify the yellow pipe route leading below or away from the main platform. Follow the pipes as a continuous visual guide toward the gas-lamp location. Look backward periodically so the route home remains obvious after descending around structures.
Do not leave the pipe line for an unrelated distant object. The achievement setup is tied to this infrastructure and stays near the end of the landmark chain. If the yellow route disappears, return to the last visible section and scan its continuation from a stationary position.
Repair the gas lamp
At the frozen site, inspect the gas lamp and complete its repair interaction using the materials or objective step shown in your current build. Allow the lamp to activate and warm the surrounding ice. The achievement does not trigger from the lamp alone.
If the lamp remains inactive, confirm the area's broader temperature prerequisite and the repair state. Check all sides for a second interaction point or unfinished stage. Current in-game requirements override older recipe descriptions during Early Access.
Wait for the ice to melt
After the lamp is operating, watch the nearby frozen area and let the environmental change complete. The snowman components become accessible as the ice clears. Moving away immediately can make it seem as if the repair produced nothing.
Keep oxygen and other survival meters in a safe range while waiting. If necessary, return to safety and revisit the lit site. A functioning lamp provides a clearer landmark for the second approach.
Collect the snowman parts
Search the immediate melted area for each exposed component. Move slowly, scan at close range, and watch for interaction prompts because small white pieces can blend into ice and wreckage. Keep several inventory slots open before beginning the route.
Do not carry the parts to the station unless the live tracker explicitly asks you to. The intended assembly point is near the achievement setup. If the counter shows one missing piece, repeat a tight circle around the lamp and former ice boundary.
Assemble the snowman
Bring the collected pieces to the nearby assembly interaction and build the snowman. Wait for the completed model, dialogue, or notification before leaving. Steam should then unlock Now That's a Snowman!.
The punctuation in the official achievement name may be displayed differently between guide text and the platform interface, but it refers to the same unlock. Check the current Steam achievement list if the notification is delayed. Avoid reloading during the final assembly animation.
Troubleshoot a missing unlock
If no parts appear, the area is still too cold or the lamp repair is incomplete. If parts appear but the build prompt does not, confirm every component was collected and remains in inventory. If the snowman is assembled but Steam is silent, verify platform connectivity and preserve the current save state.
This solution was checked on September 1, 2026 for the initial Early Access release. Future patches may alter the trigger, material requirement, or exact object placement. Follow the live tracker when it provides a more specific step.
Plan a safe achievement run
Store important quest resources, repair the required tools, and start with a comfortable oxygen reserve. Follow the yellow pipes as both outbound and return navigation. Achievement cleanup should never risk a full inventory from a main-quest gathering trip.
Combine the route with nearby exploration only after the snowman has registered. Optional detours are easier when the gas lamp and station line are known anchors. See the survival guide for a repeatable route-planning checklist.
Quick snowman checklist
Confirm regional warmth, locate the yellow pipes, follow them to the frozen lamp site, and finish the lamp repair. Wait for the melt, collect every part in the immediate area, and use the nearby assembly point. Check the Steam notification only after the finished snowman appears.
The most common mistake is searching before the temperature prerequisite has changed the site. The second is leaving after lighting the lamp without waiting for the ice transition. Treat both as staged objective gates and the route becomes short, repeatable, and easy to troubleshoot.
Verify each environmental state
Before gathering parts, confirm three visible states in order: the region is warm enough, the gas lamp is operating, and the surrounding ice has completed its melt. A partial visual change does not necessarily mean the interaction sequence has finished. Wait for the final prompt or exposed pieces before moving away.
If one state resets after loading, return to the most recent safe progression point and reactivate it before collecting. Keep the snowman components together and avoid using the same inventory slots for disposable salvage. This makes a missing counter easier to diagnose if the final assembly does not appear.
