Not every asteroid contains harvestable Aluminum. Sweep one rock closely, then move to the next visible landmark instead of circling the same surface under an oxygen warning. When you find a productive deposit, memorize its relation to the train or platform.

Start at the train, choose one nearby cratered asteroid, harvest it, and return by the same line. Add a second rock only after you know the first loop's oxygen cost. This creates a reliable route that can be repeated without searching the entire region each time.

Early Aluminum costs

Kettle Bobby consumes Aluminum x3, and the Nutri-Pack-O-Mat consumes another x3. The Cutter needs Aluminum x4, interphone wiring uses x4, and a story antenna can use x3. A Gas Tank later needs Aluminum x4 in addition to Wires, Refined Metal, and Rubber.
